Safe mode is a diagnostic mode; it is palliative. It comprises 5 tracks, live coded for you to escape into. As you stay home — perhaps at a desk by the window doing homework or taxes — Safe mode will be with you to help fix some if not all problems.

Tracks from the EP were written and live coded in June 2020, a time when the COVID-19 pandemic worsened nearly everywhere in the world while the US was forced to reckon with other deep-seated problems, as Black Lives Matter protests erupted all over the country. Some tracks were written for virtual fundraiser algoraves organized to support BLM protestors and people impacted by the pandemic, while others were written purely in search of quiet during the chaos. The point of this music was to create soft, malleable spaces to ease into and catch a respite.

All other tracks were written, recorded and produced by Sumanth Srinivasan
